Good Golly, Miss Molly!

I couldn't resist that!

My good friend, author and most-excellent cook, Molly Wizenberg, has published her first book.

Now, you would think that writing a popular food blog, Orangette, cooking and photographing those wonderful recipes would be enough for one person, but in addition to that Molly writes a monthly column in the magazineBon Appétit called the "Cooking Life."

Back to the book.

A Homemade Life is not a cookbook. Well, yes, it is. No, it's not. Yes, it is!

What is it?

It's a book about food and life, particularly Molly's life, that contains great recipes. Molly recounts a life where the kitchen was the center of activity from her childhood in Oklahoma, to her studies in Paris to her food blogging in Seattle. Molly skillfully blends an engaging narrative full of joy, trials, tribulations, successes and challenges into a wonderful mixture of food and prose.

I highly recommend the Arugula and Bread salad with fresh cherries and goat cheese. And, The Movie.
